Today I’m not recording the remaining 5 lessons of the Getting Started course because it’s alphabet practice, consonants and pronunciation. That wouldn’t be very stimulating for anyone watching I’m sure!
The Romanian alphabet has 31 letters, similar to the ones in the English alphabet, with the exception of five special letters called ‘diacritics’:
ă (like the ‘a’ in English word ‘musical’),
ș (pronounced as ‘sh’),
ț (pronounced ‘ts’),
â and î (have the same reading, without an English equivalent).
If you are interested in having a go at learning Romanian you could try the ‘free for life’ subscription of the course I’m using, but with access to the higher levels unavailable.
Join me tomorrow I will be practising some more useful phrases and trying my hand at reading!!
